As a Family Nurse Practitioner Dr. Randa Kucey provides care for people of all ages, starting at age 12.  She offers holistic care with special attention to emotional wellness.

Significant diseases and conditions routinely treated by Family Nurse Practitioners include emotionally based disorders, infections, high blood pressure, hepatitis, diabetes, COPD, CHF, minor trauma, and sexually transmitted diseases as well as others. Randa focuses on disease prevention and health promotion which include weight loss strategies, education, diagnostic testing and treatment care for a variety of acute and chronic diseases and injuries. Medical tests and procedures provided by Family Nurse Practitioners include medical history taking, physical exams, diagnostic testing, medication prescribing and monitoring, PAPS/breast exams, suture and staple removal and referral to other health specialists as warranted. Randa works autonomously or in collaboration with other healthcare professionals to deliver family-oriented care.

 

Clients may also be referred to other health professionals to obtain needed services such as nutritional counselling, physical therapy, chiropractor, acupuncture and dental care to name but a few. Our endeavour is to continually explore options in our community that are available to access for healing of all persons regardless of race, age, economic status, gender identity, sexual orientation, ethnicity, citizenship, religion, political affiliation, marital status, disability, military status and other diverse backgrounds.

Randa assists to facilitate the transition of care for complex patients who are beyond her scope of practice. An upcoming service that will be offered is immunization administration. Services provided by other specialists are pediatric and prenatal care, transgender hormone replacement therapy and chronic benzodiazepine/opioid pain management.  She affiliate with no hospitals.
